1001.1 PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for the Montana State University Billings Police Department (Department) grievance system.


1001.2 POLICY

It is the policy of this Department to provide a just and equitable system for the prompt handling of employee grievances without discrimination, coercion, restraint or retaliation against any employee who submits or is otherwise involved in a grievance.


1001.3 PROCESS

Grievances may be brought by an individual employee, or by a union representative, through the established grievance procedures under applicable collective bargaining agreements, for members of the collective bargaining unit, or under the applicable grievance procedures adopted by Montana State University Billings.
