Spring Student Awards
ASÂé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Golden Merit Award
The Golden Merit Award is a student recognition opportunity that is offered by the Associated Students of Montana State University Billings. This award will be given to graduating seniors who have had a successful college career and gained respect in their field of study. The student will be recognized according to their involvement on campus and/or in the community while attending Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³». Each Dean is asked to submit the nominations of three students from their college and a winner will be selected by ASÂé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Executive Committee from those nominations.
Criteria for the Golden Merit award:
- The student’s involvement in campus activities while attending MSU Billings
- The student’s involvement in community activities
- A GPA of 3.0 or Higher
- Student must be an undergraduate student graduating with approved paperwork on file in the Registrar’s Office.
If you would like to recommend a student to be considered for the Golden Merit Award, please contact the appropriate college dean with the student's major/minor, GPA in the major, cumulative GPA, email, etc.
Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leadership Award
The Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leadership Award sponsored by the Vice Chancellor for Student Access and Success recognizes a graduating senior for their contribution to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» community both inside and outside the classroom. Faculty and staff are asked to nominate seniors based on their scholarship, contribution to MSU Billings through activities, service, and good citizenship.
*You will be asked for the nominee's major, cumulative gpa, email, etc.
Deadline
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, March 9 at 5pm.
