Are you a freshman, transfer, or returning student at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»? Peer Navigators are here to guide you! They are fellow students who offer personal and professional support to help you succeed. They assist with time management, study skills, course navigation, connecting to campus resources, and more. Peer Navigators are also available to assist and support continuing students.

Most incoming students will be matched with a Peer Navigator automatically in their first year at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». If you have not been matched with a Peer Navigator but would like to receive dedicated Peer Navigator support for a semester or more, email katharine.moffat@msubillings.edu. Whether you need support for a few weeks or a few semesters, the Peer Navigator program is here for you!

There is no long-term commitment. You can meet with a Peer Navigator as often as you need, whether it’s for a single session or ongoing support throughout the semester.

No, the Peer Navigator program is offered to all Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students who have paid student fees.

Peer Navigators communicate with students through various channels, including in-person meetings, email, phone calls, text messaging, and virtual meetings, depending on what works best for you.

Peer Navigators can support you by connecting you to your advisor or helping you understand the course registration process. Peer Navigators cannot provide course advising or registration PINs.

Peer Navigators can help you develop effective time management strategies to stay on top of your deadlines. Schedule an appointment with a Peer Navigator or respond to your assigned Navigator’s outreach messages for support!

Peer Navigators can introduce you to various campus resources and guide you on how to approach and access them. Frequent referrals from Peer Navigators include TRIO Student Support Services, Montana 10, Disability Support Services, and others.

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Peer Navigators are your go-to resource for both personal and professional support, serving as a helpful sounding board for incoming and returning students. Our team is here to guide you on how to approach your assignments effectively, understand your professors' expectations, and stay connected and committed to your educational goals!

This peer-to-peer mentoring program welcomes City College and University campus students and helps you acclimate to your first year at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» while creating an inclusive and supportive environment.

Paige Secrist

Hello everyone! My name is Paige, and I’m excited to help you as a Peer Navigator at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»! College can be a big change, and having a friend in your corner really helps. I’m currently working on a bachelor’s degree in Music Education with minors in English and Honors. When I first started at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», the support from staff and other students helped me improve my time-management skills, figure out where to find academic resources, and learn how to be more independent and confident. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and support you as you build those same skills. I can’t wait to meet you and hear about your academic path!
