Retirement Intelligence: An Educational Course for Pre-Retirees
Course Overview
Retirement Intelligence is a practical, research-based course designed to help individuals,
whether retired or within 5–10 years of retirement, build a clear, actionable plan
for life after work. The class blends financial planning, investment strategy, and
advanced planning topics into a simple, structured framework that gives students clarity,
confidence, and a roadmap to follow.
During the course, participants will:
- Define what a "successful retirement" looks like for their unique goals
- Estimate retirement expenses (including Medicare, healthcare, and inflation)
- Understand Social Security timing, pension options, and withdrawal strategies
- Identify and close their retirement funding gap
- Mitigate sequence-of-returns risk with the 3-Bucket Strategy
- Plan for long-term care, charitable giving, and estate essentials
Format:
- Two live online sessions (1.5 hours each) via Zoom or Teams
- Downloadable workbook (print version coming soon!) + slide decks
- Fill-in-the-blank planning worksheets
- Access to full class recordings
- Optional complimentary coaching session to review individual questions
